1. Goals - My goal is to prepare myself to use technology in my lessons in a creative and fun way. I want to cross technology with all curriculum possible. I love technology and I feel it would be a wonderful idea to use some type of media in as many lessons as possible. I have expectations of myself to be up to date on all technology. I look forward to helping my students with technology.
2. The Chronology of Technology. One of my favorite history lessons of technology was learning about the first computer that had the memory of a calculator. It was huge. Technology has increased like exponential growth. Only ten years ago I was playing with pixel characters and typing in commands. Now I have nearly clear graphics on my computer. I can't wait to see where computer technology goes in the next few years.
3. My educational hero is Victor Williamson. He runs the Christa McAuliffe Space Education Center at Pleasant Grove Elementary School. I admire him because he created space simulators to teach children how to work together as a team. He helped them to problem solve using calm communication in stressful environments. He has been recognized for his creativity in teaching by several professional recognition committees. Williamson went far beyond the mark as an educator.
