EL ED BLOG # 6

I'm unsure of what to do now about this Internet awareness assignment? I will try to keep figuring it out but my group didn't show up today. I am not sure if I am the only person unsure of what to do today in class. It's been a busy week but I've been sick this week. I feel like today is just a day to crash before my sickness turns into a fever and knocks me out for the rest of the semester. I write this because its challenging to juggle school and sickness. I wonder how a teacher is able to do both? I can't imagine that a teacher can. Does the teacher have enough freedom to call in sick or are they responsible for the substitute?

  1. Good question. When I was teaching and woke up not feeling well, I had to ask myself at 5:30 am in the morning if I would rather write sub plans or teach sick. A teacher can always call in sick, but it's hard to tell someone else how to run your class for a day! It's good to have backup sub plans for those days when sickness comes on suddenly.
I hope you were able to connect with your group via google docs. Everything else is done individually.
