EL ED BLOG #2
I wonder how many parents actually follow up on teacher created websites. I feel that parents would benefit from an updated website published by the teacher than by weekly letters on paper. I had a friend claim doom and gloom today. It made me think of what would happen to the technology industry. Then I wondered how it would affect education. Sometimes I feel people don't get up with the times because their is so much fear. Computers can be very scary to new participants. It made me think of all the people who would see learning the information in this class doom and gloomy. Life is exciting and what you make of it. Its just like technology. What you are able to do with the Internet and technology is really up to us. There are many class options. I really enjoyed creating the UEN page. It's quite simple once you understand the basics of whats required.

You've come across a common problem; people who are afraid of technology instead of seeing it as a neutral tool that can be used for much good and much harm. I like to point out to people how much the LDS church uses internet resources. We will be doing a unit later in class on internet safety and how to be a responsible user.
