I really enjoyed using the kidspiration program. I found I was frustrated reading through the lessons on how to use it. I picked up a couple of new skills I wouldn't have learned on my own by reading it. I have never been the type of person to study a program. I am all about learning as much as I can by exploration. Growing up I explored Microsoft power point because it reminded me of a video making program. I later picked up Sony Vegas professional Video Editor and I am still learning cool features 4 years later.
I am looking forward to doing the picture assignment. I have my own digital camera and I use it often. What I really like to do with my pictures is put them into my video editing program. It is nice because its easy to use and more entertaining for others to watch.

I probably shouldn't have required you to go through that tutorial. Some people are more comfortable approaching a new tool that way; others, like yourself, prefer to take a more intuitive approach and just dig in. Remember that you will have students who differ in the same way.
