Podcasts! I love making podcasts! They are audio and video presentations that are small in size and short in length . . . typically. Today in class we used Mac computers (which is a stretch) and we had a lot of fun recording a voice over of a school announcement. I really enjoy this a lot!
As a student a podcast could be used as a way to record notes. Recording my notes would be a wonderful way to repeat and learn. I could ask questions, tell stories, repeat affirmations, and Q.A. for test exams. Its also a great way to share notes with the co-hort. I am very excited for video casts. These will be sooooo much fun! I love these things. I use Vidcasts all the time for projects and assignments.
As a teacher vidcasts and podcasts are excellent features for the classroom. They are perfect to be used on the class website. They can also be put onto discs and sent home with the students. I think this would be an awesome *scrapbook for students. I could record podcasts, vidcasts all year long of fun events and send them home on the last day of class. I am so excited for all the new cool ways to put technology into teaching! I LOVE THEM SO MUCH! :)
