Today we learned about certain tools that can help us to create vidcasts. Those tools are a flip, which is a video camera. PPT, a familiar program called powerpoint presentations. Photostory, Photostory is a neat program that puts videos and music into a video. The last is jing. Jing is a creative tool that allows you to creatively prepare presentations.
As a current student I know that all of these programs can really help me through the program. I love to use videocasts and podcasts in my assignments. Its a simple way to get the information clear and precise to the teacher and the peers. I really like how we have broken our lesson down into four different categories. How to lessons are great ways to present. Tutorials are great ways to teach. Public service announcements are creative. Intro's give a great preview. Each of these methods are great ways to provide learning and feedback for school.
As a teacher I can use any of these programs or presentation methods in my classroom. I really am looking forward to creating my project using Sony Vegas. Sony Vegas is a wonderful tool for creating podcasts and vidcasts. Its difficult to want to switch over to a program that is less advanced. I would have to re-learn a basic program which takes a lot of time. My advanced video program gives me the opportunity to advance my skills in the program. I can use my advanced skills to create video presentations for my classroom :)
